Certificate in Church Leadership

The Year 1 Certificate provides a strong foundation in biblical leadership, theology and practical ministry, making it ideal for those growing in their faith and those preparing for leadership responsibilities.

Diploma in Church Leadership

Building on the Year 1 Certificate in Church Leadership, the Year 2 Diploma is designed for those called to senior leadership, equipping pastors, elders and church planters with deeper theological understanding and advanced ministry training.

Course fees

Standard rate: £250 per term (£750 per academic year) for both the Year 1 Certificate and Year 2 Diploma.

Subsidised rate: £25 per term (£75 per academic year) for students in lower-income countries.

Individual courses: Coming soon, individual courses from the curriculum will be available to take separately, providing a flexible option for those unable to commit to a full year. Fees will be based on the length of each course.

The year

Three 10-week terms per academic year.

  • Term 1 – Winter Term

    (starts week beginning 18 Jan.)

  • Term 2 – Spring Term

    (starts week beginning 12 April)

  • Term 3 – Summer Term

    (starts week beginning 5 July)

A typical week

For students enrolled on the Certificate or Diploma programme, learning takes place in two stages. During the week, students watch the teaching through live or on-demand lectures at a time that suits them. Then, each Monday evening, they come together for The Classroom—a live interactive session where they discuss the teaching, ask questions, pray together and explore how to put what they have learned into practice.

Each week includes approximately 5 hours of core learning time, before any additional assignment work:

  • 4 hours of live or on-demand teaching

  • 1 hour in the weekly live Classroom

The Classroom

Every Monday evening (19:00–20:00), students come together for The Classroom — a live, interactive session at the heart of the Global Classroom experience.

Having completed four hours of live or on-demand learning during the previous week, students from Years 1 and 2 come together to reflect on what they have learned, connect it with their calling and God’s purposes, and apply it to their lives and ministry. It also provides an important point of connection, bringing all students together live to build relationships and a strong sense of community.

The hour is broken into two parts:

Inspiration (19:00–19:30)

  • Years 1 and 2 together

  • The evening begins with worship, prayer and leadership input, helping students see the week’s learning within the bigger picture of God’s purposes and their own calling. It is designed to stir apostolic vision, strengthen pioneering faith and inspire students to apply their learning as they grow churches and make disciples.

Application (19:30–20:00)

  • Year-specific learning groups of 5–8 people

  • Students then move into smaller groups with others from their own year. These groups remain together throughout the term, providing space to build relationships, discuss the week’s content, explore its practical application to life and ministry, encourage one another and pray together.
